This sun shade is amazing! I bought if for our 2015 Ram that has the auto headlight box attached to the rear view mirror. This shade fit like a custom made suit. The key to putting it up is to slide the bottom all the way in where the dash meets the windshield, then lift it up and secure with visors. It is not flimsy in any way. In my opinion, you could use this as shade as defensive tool in its storage configuration by smacking would be attackers upside the head (dependent on your skill, of course!).

I have bought these for 3 different cars. They are the BEST. Fit has been excellent on each car. They are very durable. A few things to be careful of...
1... It gets hot. With the sun beating on it and keeping your car cooler, the surface does get hot. Be careful when you go to take it out.
2...Be mindful of the edges. If you try to pick it up from the very edge, it can bend from the force. It is best to handle at least an inch or to in from the edge. I bent one by the rear view mirror when a went to put it away, but it still worked fine.
3...Storage can be a challenge, but it is worth it. I fold mine down in the middle first. It is easier for me to have the outer flaps face down for storage. After it is folded, i slide it between the passenger seat and center console. Then it stays in place and the "ears" don't want to flop open.

I recommend these to my friends. They are rigid and that makes them harder to store, but easier to use.

For the price, I thought it would be more of a custom fit. Could fit better around the mirror. I'm in Florida so I don't need any light coming through. Also, it got damp, not wet, and was like warped cardboard for a while. It is the best-looking one but I would think with today's laser measuring it could be better.

High quality reflective sun shade. I ordered one for a Ram 1500 Big Horn standard cab with the black box under the rear view mirror. The fit is perfect. Be aware that this is a rather heavy, thick and stiff folding shield, not the light krinkly kind you roll up. I like it and it appears that it will last a long time.

Even though Amazon states this part number UV11113SV does not fit my 2018 Ram 1500 when Covercraft says it does I purchased and it fit like a dream. I purchased one of these back in 2006 for my 2005 Durango and still using it today on a newer 2014 Durango. Product has lasted for years and still looks brand new. I expect the same result from my latest purchase. It make a unbelievable inside temperature improvement in these hot hot Oklahoma days.

Don't let the price fool you, it's not your normal auto parts sun shade made of tin foil. I got this for my 2018 RAM 1500 and it fits perfectly. This is a hard sun screen and seems pretty durable.

While the product fits well and does what it says it will, the quality of materials is poor for the amount of money this was.. I expected a much more sturdy material. Perhaps if they included the case, the cost could be justified. But that is sold separately. Therefore, it is too expensive for what you get.

This was the best $55 dollars I have ever spent on one of my vehicles. I live in N. Texas. The temps lately have been over 100, pretty much every day. My truck sits out in the sun all day long. I crack my sliding glass window about 1 inch and one of my rear windows about 1 inch. The Covercraft lowers the temps in my truck at least 20 degrees. I have never gotten in and had to deal with hot surfaces, especially the steering wheel.
